December 12 Day 644: Procrastination

I thought I would be further along in my grading by this time of the weekend. I had big plans. First I would grade presentations, then projects, and then portfolios. Ideally having it all done before the marathon interview sessions start tomorrow for my students’ in-person oral final exam.

Instead, I have graded last homeworks, late howeworks, and group self-assessments. I have watched the Great British Baking Show. I have answered email. As each minute ticks by, I feel more and more guilty about what hasn’t gotten done yet.

So why am I writing this post about procrastination rather than dealing with my guilt by tackling the stacks of grading?

I really will start on those presentations as soon as I get this finished. I promise.
