December 20 Day 652: Submitted

Grades are submitted and I have four days to prepare for a family Christmas.

It’s a little late to start thinking about the holidays, but I have been preoccupied with other priorities until now. My youngest put up the tree and lights last night. There is still decorating to be done. This will be the first time in decades that we won’t put lights up outside (many of our strands are old and need to be replaced. There are none to be had at any stores in town. It makes me sad, but there is only so much that we can do.)

The family will be together and that is what matters the most.
