June 22 Day 836: Playing Tourist

The conference organizers planned this afternoon for excursions. Mark and I decided it was a great idea and took a whole day excursion instead. We visited the smallest of the Aran islands, Inis Oirr (Inisheer), cruised past the Cliffs of Moher, had lunch in a pub, and finally ended the day wandering on top of the Cliffs themselves. Great storytelling by driver Tom, amazing organization to get an entire bus fed and watered during a 60 minute stop, and beautiful sites.

My only complaint was getting back on the boat at the Inis Oirr dock. Many of us arrived as requested and politely queued up to get on the boat. As the time to board approached, other travelers surged forward with no heed to those who had been patiently waiting in place. Suffice it to say, I was disappointed with our location on the boat but not the adventure.
