January 26 Day 689: It’s Pretty Sticky

I love Post-It Note activities to bring a group together as we work towards a common goal.

After today’s assessment work group meeting, I created this activity to prepare for our next discussion. The circles represent the four majors in the Science and Math (SAM) Division of the School of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences at the University of Washington Tacoma. Each Post-It note contains one student learning outcome (SLO) color-coded by major. As you might expect, there is a fair amount of overlap between these sciences and math majors. Our task will be to drag the SLO stickies to the appropriate region of overlap. The items in the middle will form the central values for the Division.

I think it will be fun and I’m ready for online collaboration. Plus it’s pretty.
