October 8 Day 579: Daily Word Count

Do you have a maximum number of words you can write per day?

I think I do.

And I think all forms of writing accumulate towards that total.

So, if I intend to work on a manuscript but I spend the morning composing email, I have already reduced what can be accomplished by the number of words typed into electronic messages.

If I have something for a Board of Directors and for a promotion report to write, it is impossible to complete both in the same day if their combined total exceeds my upper bound–even if I am motived.

I suppose it doesn’t help that I expended 123 words writing these thoughts down in my blog. Time to get back at it….
