December 23 Day 290: Ode to Tacoma’s 12 Days of Christmas

Christmas is coming. I’ve been working on a Tacoma version of the Twelve Days of Christmas. What do you think? I am in need of original photos for 11, 9, 4, and 3 but I hope I have captured the spirit of Tacoma.

Twelve geese a-gliding,

Eleven sailboats sailing,

Not my picture. From https://www.tripadvisor.com/LocationPhotoDirectLink-g58775-d913972-i202908022-Cliff_House_Restaurant-Tacoma_Washington.html

Ten seals a-bobbing,

Nine locks safeguarding,

Eight cranes a-cranking,

Seven shore birds squawking,

Six pigeons perching,

Five Monkeyshines.

Not my picture. I have not been fortunate enough to find an orb in all the years I have been searching. http://makeamarknorthstar.blogspot.com/2016/02/paper-mache-monkeyshines.html

Four Chihulys,

Not my picture. From https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/chihuly-bridge-of-glass-tacoma?select=2eeq_yRKN4dIuynL93yztw

Three Starbucks,

Two bridges span,

And a mountain that we call Rainer.
