October 11 Day 217: Priorities

I thought I had things under control. But it is 11:30 pm on a Sunday night and I have just finished grading written homework from last week. Here were my priorities based on what got accomplished today:

  • Wash clothes and masks
  • Food shopping before breakfast.
  • Post annotated notes and recordings from Wednesday’s classes…finally.
  • Prepare and post class worksheets for the coming week.
  • Update assignments.
  • Call my mother.
  • Schedule a Task Force meeting.
  • Write online timed assessment to be taken through the course management system. It’s more writing and interpretation than calculation. Assessment changes randomly by user. Some of it will even be automatically graded.
  • Cook dinner.
  • Relax with family over dinner for 60 minutes.
  • Grade homework. (Thank goodness I preemptively reduced the amount of grading I committed myself to or I would still be at it.)

What I didn’t get done:

  • Walk with my husband in the morning
  • Call my son
  • Fold my laundry
  • Prepare online teaching materials for tomorrow
  • Finalize reports or prepare for a Board of Directors meeting

What I still intend to do:

  • Finish this post before midnight.
